Television Continuity Poses is part of a series of pieces for solo violin with field recordings and ensemble. The violin is hollowed out into a constellation of unconverted energy, white noise and happy accidents; highly kinetic and joyfully static. The ensemble and audio, both autonomous entities, revolve and hover around this sound, at times refracting the violin whilst at others submerging it entirely.
Television Continuity Poses was written in August and September 2016 for Sarah Saviet, and then revised and expanded with extra movements in 2021.
